Raw Honey now available at Blueys Beach at Twenty by Twelve

The Great Lakes and Manning Valley areas of NSW are just amazing, from farmland to stunning beaches and lakes, all sorts of wildlife... and human life! Yesterday we took a drive down through Forster to the gorgeous Blueys Beach down near Pacific Palms and Boomerang Beach. We were invited down by Twenty by Twelve Cafe and Living to do a honey tasting. And so now if you're holidaying in the area down there, you'll be able to pick up some of our yummy honey there.

Miniature galloways calves - come meet these cute cows

Love this photo of some of the newest miniature galloway calves to join the herd here at Honeycomb Valley Farm NSW. We've been breeding these beautiful animals for 7 years now and still can't get over their wonderful nature, hardiness and gorgeous features.

We don't breed for meat, but breed these cows as grass cutters and manure providers and for other small farms who appreciate the smaller cattle breeds who don't test the fences and are gentle to be around.

One of our travelling helpers, Julia Roebuck, has returned to help out on the farm for a few weeks. In addition to being a hand sewing champion (blue ribbon at the Nabiac Show 2014), a ray of sunshine and an alpaca whisperer, Jules is a passionate and innovative recycling guru.

Often guests arrive at the farmstay with their car's carpet covered in food thanks to the kids in the backseat. But our empowered chickens are on the case and have recently launched their own free carpet cleaning service for all overnight farmstay guests!

So excited today to be stacking our farm shop shelves with loads of fresh made beetroot relish. This yummy beetroot chutney is full of colour and flavour and just fabulous on sandwiches, cheese and as a condiment. Or try mixing it with sour cream for a dip as well. Pop in for a tasting of meet us at the markets!

Timbertown Steam Fair - July 4, 5 & 6 2014 - Wauchope near Port Macquarie

If you're heading to the Timbertown Steam Fair at Wauchope this July, be sure to pop into our farmgate shop on the drive north or south to stock up on delicious products for your pantry. We're just 1 hour south of Wauchope and Port Macquarie, and 1 minute out of the gorgeous little village of Nabiac.

Visit the farmgate shop free, or pay to come on the farm tours that depart at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm.

Timbertown is a great place to visit to get a sense of what life in the "olden days" was like, and the Steam Fair is a big weekend on the calendar!
